Now Hiring: Access / VBA Developer Retail Systems Specialist – Edison/Secaucus NJ
Summary:
We have an immediate opening for Access / VBA Developer Retail Systems Specialist. This position is responsible for providing guidance, support and training to new and existing HomeStore locations in their retail operations and systems. Develop a plan for training, quick improvements and long-term enhancements. Drive the rollouts of PROFITsystems updates as well as related inventory and retail updates in a growing company. Document specific business rules and procedures particular to the Homestore’s implementation of retail systems. Program unmet needs of the current systems with Microsoft Access/ VBA solution. Must have a hands-on-approach with excellent communication skills. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel Data Querying or SQL scripting is required.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a software developer for VBA and Microsoft Access
- Access/VBA/SQL Server Developer to build custom desktop application
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Data querying or SQL scripting.
- Ability to extract data from RDBMS, using SQL
- At least 3 years of hands-on IT experience in a Retail Environment.
- Proficient knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office
- High energy, enthusiasm & ambition, excellent communication skills & interpersonal skills.
- Thorough knowledge of Retail Inventory Management Systems- knowledge of PROFITsystems retail furniture software is a plus.
- Strong end-user computing skills, especially as it relates to retail and inventory systems.
- Must have a positive, flexible and adaptable personality.
- Strong analytical, reasoning, project management and organizational skills.
- We will provide training at Ashley Homestores Corporate offices on specific implementation of PROFITsystems, P.O.S and Inventory Management Systems.
